Burgundy Ball

Dwain and I went to the CMH Burgundy Ball in Springfield. We had a good time and the boys were so tired when we got home...I think the babysitters did a good job! :)

Granton & Jenni

I went this week to visit Jenni and Granton in KC at the Ronnie Mac house. We had a good time visiting, but the day after I left they had to re-admit Granton into the hospital. Please be praying for them, the doctors have several concerns, mainly he needs to gain weight.

Grandparents' Day

Grandma Mary Kay is so great to come spend the day with the boys at school for Grandparents' Day! Bo was so proud to show Grandma his classroom, friends & teacher.

I’ve been reading a book by Oliver North called American Heroes to the boys every night and it's talking about 9/11 then the start of the Iraq war. Tonight we read about Bush’s “axis of evil” speech and how he said we had to get rid of the evil. Then it told about Gore and other liberals saying the people weren’t evil, just hungry and we should send them more aid… Deacon sighs, “that’s SO democratic!”

Deacon's Day at Whiteman AFB

Deacon had the privilege of going today (9-11) to Whiteman Air Force Base with the Carters. There is probably nothing he could have loved more! I will have him write and tell about it this weekend.

Oklahoma!

We spent Labor Day in Oklahoma with my family. The boys enjoy their cousins more than anyone, and I think the feeling is mutual. Sunday night we went to the Oklahoma River downtown, also known as Bricktown. Check out the statues in the first picture, they are 1.5 to scale and amazing, there is a whole series of them, re-inacting the landrun. You should visit if ever in OKC!!!
