Chicago

Dwain & I spent the weekend in Chicago. S&S Activewear (one of our vendors) brings in customers for an open house. Friday night we visited and toured their factory, met with sales reps and had dinner. Saturday we shopped most the day then met back up with everyone for a dinner cruise on the lake. The people in the first picture, Richard & Lee own a screen printing business in Montgomery, AL. They also own a Mexican restaurant called... El Rodeo. Can you believe that? Yes, we want to visit! Another cool thing is that Richard is a two-time Olympic swimmer for Columbia. The second couple, Jon & Shannon, have a family-owned screen printing business in Winona, MN. Their family has been in business FOREVER! They owned one of the first automatic presses on the market. Jon grew up, like our kids, taking naps on t-shirts! We had such a great time visiting with people that do exactly what we do. btw... Dwain is with a Lego man, thought the kids would like this, and the tulip picture is for Jen Russell (aka Jonnifer).

Ryder Opens Swim Season

The pool people came and opened the pool today, and no that does NOT mean it's ready for swimmers, however Ryder was afraid someone might get in before him... so freezing cold, algae, chemicals, he didn't care. We were laughing and watching him and Bo came out with his suit on. :) Good times just ahead!

Lunch with Grandparents

We met my grandparents in Springfield for lunch today. Sooooo good to see them!

Pile of Puppies

I love Banner boys and especially sleeping ones! All the boys sleep in the same bed (by choice) and so often they remind me of a pile of puppies. :)

Late Night of Work

Extra work at Creator Designs, so we had family night at the shop. Our great friends, the Guiots and the McCullahs joined us there for pizza. Bo didn't last much past 11, but he did find another use for t-shirts.

Favorite Stop on the Trip...

This has been my favorite stop because I got to see my family. There are many kids missing from the pictures (& my brother) but any time all the sisters get together, we have fun. I feel like I need to explain this trip. My dear, sweet husband surprised me by buying me a plane ticket to see a friend, Brittany that moved to LA. Brittany use to live in Bolivar and she was my work-out partner until her husband took a coaching job at CSUN. I have been wanting to visit her since she moved. Then I have another friend, Bridget that is a traveling physical therapist. She spent 7 months in CA and then the last 3 months in Hawaii, and is now spending 3 months in MO. After I spent a few days with Brittany, Bridget flew in from Hawaii, picked up me and her car and we “road tripped” back to MO. I have had a great time and I especially appreciate Dwain surprising me with this trip! Also, thank you so much to my mother-in-law, Mary Kay, for coming and being “mom” for a week! One more thing… while I was in LA, Brittany’s husband took a new coaching job at the University of Utah!!! Dwain, trip to Utah next year? :)

Grand Canyon with Bridget

As you can tell we got to see the Grand Canyon from the air. It was amazing, beautiful! First time on a helicopter for both of us. For those of you that know Bridget, yes, she did get sick. :)
